It's Over

T.S. Eliot wrote, "To make an end is to make a beginning." And so, football and marching season end as we scramble to transition to Christmas which has a few activities of its own.

We had a beautiful Pasadena day for our final field competition. Program and logistics all went well. We came 6th out of 12 bands. We would have liked higher, of course, but this being our first year at this level of competition, everyone was pretty pleased. I thought it was their best performance of the season. Here, they samba off the field after their show. You can see John waving.

Our semi-final game against Tesoro High School was like this all night. The score at half time was 0-21. We made one touchdown third quarter and one fourth quarter to end the game 14-42. The players worked hard--we just couldn't catch them.

You'll have that sometimes.

Ball State LOST their MAC championship game to a team that had 4 or 5 previous losses!!!! Too bad - - - but that's the way the cookie crumbles sometimes.

You never know until you play the tame. One slip, and the tide can turn.
