I forgot to mention that our marching competition was at Pasadena City College. From our position in the stands, we could see the Good Year Blimp circling the Rose Bowl a few miles away. Also, the announcer was gracious enough to update us on the scores from time to time. Then, we got to "go home" along with all of the Rose Bowl traffic - quite the event. Most of the band boosters were glad that USC won.
