I've been asked to speak at two MOPS programs this fall. Below is a rough show of my presentation. Any comments are welcome. I'm assuming they haven't heard the words "Learning Disability" before, so I've tried to build up to my main points. Also, I can't go into anything in detail - I only have 30 minutes! There is no audio on the show.

MOPS Presentation
Hi all. More feedback needed. (You never thought blogging would be this much WORK, did you?)

on the What's really going on page... the one with the brain... it's hard to see the lime green word. And I was confused by the drawing in the middle of the presentation. is there where you tell the parents "never give up?"
there's a lot of content to get through in the 30 minutes. Are you planning on 5 minutes per slide, or are some of these going to just be in the handout?
The drawing in the middle is a visual perception exercise. I'm going to show it for about 3 seconds and ask people to write down what they saw - usually they'll say "a face." Then, I'm going to show it longer and ask what they see. That's when they see the mountains, the sheep, etc. Then, I talk a little about visual perception problems with students.
